  • On what would have been Hank Aaron’s 90th birthday, Atlanta History Center and its partner the Atlanta Braves announced an interactive exhibit celebrating the life and impact of the Braves Hall of Fame legend. Forbes shared the news first, detailing plans for the opening, which is timed in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of Aaron's 715th home run! Honoring his life and monumental contributions to Atlanta, More Than Brave: The Life of Henry Aaron will be on view at Atlanta History Center from April 9 through the 2025 All-Star Game at Truist Park.
  • Jay Garvens, manager of Churchill Mortgage’s Garvens Group, explored closing costs, how much buyers should anticipate paying and how they can best prepare in this Wall Street Journal article.
  • Laura Sterling, VP of marketing for Georgia's Own Credit Union, was quoted in a USA Today story about how credit unions work and how they differ from banks.
  • Taylor Swift is taking over the world. To celebrate, Cherry Street Brewpub at Halcyon planned a "Taylor Bowl" pre-game event before the Big Game. Wilbert pitched the event to Inc. Magazine and secured a spot for the small business in a story about Swift's impact on Super Bowl marketing.
  • MDH Partners announced five new office, dining and service-oriented tenants coming to Oakhurst Commons, a 135,000-square-foot mixed-use campus in Charlotte’s Oakhurst neighborhood. These leases bring the center to approximately 50% leased. Read more via Charlotte Business Journal
  • Ramtin Motahar, founder of post-occupancy energy forecasting platform Joulea, was quoted in a Commercial Property Executive story on digital twin technology as it relates to the energy efficiency of office buildings.
  • Hoar Construction has partnered with students at UT Tyler to work as interns on various on-campus construction projects, earning real-world experience to advance in their future careers. KLTV in Tyler, Texas reported on one intern who is now working on sites throughout his hometown thanks to his impactful work alongside Hoar.
  • Marking a significant day in its storied history, Wilbert secured an Atlanta Business Chronicle profile on Mac Caddell as he officially transitioned to CEO of the company founded by his grandfather, Caddell Construction.
  • Food carts have opened a new avenue for entrepreneurs to share their quick bites. Wilbert secured this story in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution about the renewal of the food cart program that is bringing fresh flavors to Downtown Decatur.
  • Linea at The Line, Portman's luxury residential tower in Charlotte's South End, recently topped out. Multi-Housing News ran a story on the project's milestone.
  • Historic homes are accompanied by character and charm, but unfortunately, they also have unique maintenance concerns. Missy Derr, a real estate advisor with Engel & Völkers Atlanta, recently evaluated whether it is worth buying a historic home in this Homes & Gardens story.
  • Dallas Morning News recently covered the groundbreaking of The Vickery, Trademark's multifamily-led mixed-use project in Fort Worth. The Vickery broke ground on 2/22 and will be the firm's first ground-up multifamily development.
  • Stonemont Financial Group is bullish on Florida. Avery Dorr, vice president at Stonemont, spoke with Commercial Property Executive to discuss why industrial is thriving in the state, how Stonemont accommodates users of varying sizes and future plans for 2024.
  • Chain Store Age recently highlighted High Street, the new mixed-use district coming to Atlanta's Perimeter, and its new tenants including Jaguar Bolera, Nando’s Peri-Peri, Velvet Taco, Allen Edmonds and Skin Spirit.
  • Renowned Atlanta home builder John Wieland announced his new contemporary art museum, The Warehouse, with a feature story in ARTS ATL outlining the collection's history and future.
  • Toro Development Company announced its acquisition of a suburban office campus that will be transformed into Medley, a vibrant mixed-use community and Third Place for Johns Creek.   • Jeff Warwick, CEO of CCI Real Estate, is aiming to enhance the growing community of Downtown Rome with the upcoming Nova River District, an over 6.4-acre mixed-use development on the Oostanaula River. Atlanta Business Chronicle recently spoke with Jeff about his vision for the development and why he is confident in Rome’s future. 
  • The Oklahoman featured OAK, a mixed-use destination in the heart of Oklahoma City, and its recently announced Heartwood Park and entertainment stage coming this fall. The $1 million stage and green space will be home to community events upon OAK's opening this fall.
  • Multi-Housing News highlighted the opening of Grand Living at Wellen Park, a 204-unit luxury senior living community in Venice, Florida. Ryan Companies completed construction in February and opened for residents this month.
  • JLL was tapped to handle retail leasing for CrossRidge Center, a 190-acre development in Indian Land, South Carolina. The project will have 270,000 square feet of retail, restaurant and entertainment uses on the project’s south side. Target was recently announced as the anchor tenant, as reported by Charlotte Business Journal.
