With one foot each in the worlds of branding and technology, Ben has the rare ability to blend both together in strategically sound and impactful ways. Beginning in 2000, he was a partner at Iconologic, one of the most accomplished brand design firms in the Southeast. In 2015 he left to start IMBIBE Brand Design and IMBIBE Digital Realities. After years of shared client collaboration and mutual respect, in January of 2020, Ben and all members of the IMBIBE Brand Design team merged with The Wilbert Group. With the capabilities and experience of both firms complementing the other so well, it was seen as an essential strategic move for each to better serve their respective clients and to ultimately build a stronger and more capable agency with an eye towards the future of brand communications.
He’s worked with clients big and small, locally and across the world. Ben speaks, writes and teaches as time permits (he’s currently co-teaching a class on Augmented Reality at Auburn University). He’s started, lead and successfully exited multiple companies. He’s won awards, served as a mentor and advisor to both individuals and institutions throughout his career and, most importantly, he’s passionate about his work and building lasting relationships with his clients and co-workers.
Ben has dedicated a considerable amount of time to nonprofits. For many years he served on the board of AIGA Atlanta, the professional association for design, the board of the Museum of Design Atlanta and also as an "Invited Expert" to the World Wide Web Consortium, the governing body for the World Wide Web. His current passions are the City of Refuge (7 years) and Boy Scouts of America (10 years).
Originally from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, he moved to Atlanta to attend the Georgia Institute of Technology. Ben and his wife Lea, live in Buckhead and have a son, Andrew, and daughter, Caroline.
