- In early November, Franklin Street’s Chris White, Third & Urban’s Hank Farmer, Ryan Companies’ Patrick Chesser and ACBR/Highwoods Properties’ Heather Lamb joined several editors of Atlanta Business Chronicle for a roundtable discussion here at The Wilbert Group on the broader CRE outlook for Atlanta.
- Wilbert assisted Stonemont Vice President of Development/Acquisitions, Brian Danahy, to pen a bylined article for NAIOP’s Development Magazine about the environmental complexities Stonemont faced when developing three major industrial complexes across the country and the learnings that came from each.
- Third & Urban is redeveloping Corporate Square in Brookhaven into Northbend, a trail-oriented mixed-use development. Wilbert helped announce the project's new name to several local publications, including Rough Draft Atlanta.
- Wilbert client Toro Development Company’s Founder and Chief Vision Officer Mark Toro joined The FORT podcast to unpack his approach to creating generational mixed‑use developments.
- Wilbert partnered with longtime friend Paul Milliken from Good Day Atlanta for a festive segment detailing "All the Joyful Things" at The Works, including Big John's first-ever indoor Christmas tree lot, food and beverage tastings and other holiday events occurring throughout the season.
- HPM and The University of Alabama marked a major construction milestone with a topping out ceremony for the new Smith Family Center for Performing Arts, a 130,088-square-foot facility that will unify the Department of Theatre and Dance. Coverage of the achievement was featured on ABC 33/40.
- High Street’s festive holiday programming, including the High Street Skate seasonal ice rink, was featured in a segment on Atlanta News First.
- Chef Fuyuhiko Ito opened a 16-seat omakase restaurant, Ishin by Ito, and rooftop cocktail lounge, Celestia, in Midtown at Portman's Ten Twenty Spring building at Spring Quarter. Atlanta Magazine covered the openings.
- Reed Smith, a global leading law firm, signed a long-term lease for its new Atlanta office at Portman's Spring Quarter in the heart of Midtown Atlanta. CoStar wrote about the deal.
- Selig Enterprises started a new chapter at the end of December, as Steve Selig stepped into the Chairman role and Mindy Selig and Greg Lewis became Co-CEOs. Wilbert supported long-time client Selig by helping tell the tale, including an exclusive in Atlanta Business Chronicle.
- In an interview with Savannah Morning News, JLL's Bennett Rudder offered insight into the trends and data shaping Savannah's industrial sector and as a leading industrial hub.
- JLL facilitated the 63,000-square-foot lease at The Stitch in North Carolina's Research Triangle with Asensus Surgical. The deal marked the largest research and development life sciences lease in the Triangle in three years, as reported on by Medical Design & Outsourcing.
- Shake Shack is coming to Oklahoma City with its first location at OAK. Wilbert supported our client OAK by helping secure coverage in The Journal Record around the highly anticipated opening.
- In October, CCI Real Estate celebrated the opening of Nova River District, a first-of-its-kind mixed-use community in downtown Rome, Georgia. The project includes 242 multifamily residences and nearly 10,000 square feet of retail space. Wilbert invited a reporter from the Rome News-Tribune to come tour the completed project before the ribbon cutting party, providing a one-on-one interview opportunity with Jeff Warwick, CEO of CCI.
- The Atlanta Commercial Board of REALTORS® appointed commercial real estate veteran Jeff Shaw as its 2026 president, where he’ll lead more than 2,400 members and focus on expanding membership, advocacy and community impact. Atlanta Business Chronicle covered the announcement with a feature on Jeff and his plans for growth.
- Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida broke ground on a new building that Ryan Companies helped design. The team wanted to design a food bank that presented a welcoming and calming environment amid stressful situations. One key element of the design includes an accessible pantry that resembles a grocery store where individuals are able to carry out their shopping in a dignified manner.
