Wilbert Wins: Media Relations - Q2 2024

As we pass the half-year mark for 2024, our team at Wilbert continues to work hard, pushing for our clients to earn the best media placements possible in key markets, locally or nationally. We’ve had some exciting milestones and initiatives for our clients, from new store openings to the opening of an impactful history exhibit in the heart of Atlanta.

Below is a sampling of significant media mentions our team has secured in Q2 of 2024.

  • Residents are flocking to live at High Street, a new mixed-use district in Atlanta's Perimeter. Atlanta Business Chronicle covered the first 100 leases signed at the multi-family portion of the project.
  • In a recent Wall Street Journal article, Neil Christiansen, a branch manager of Churchill Mortgage, discussed why higher mortgage rates don't have to stop you from buying a home.
  • Written ahead of ICSC 2024, this Commerce + Communities Today story describes a new urbanism concept coming to Oklahoma City with the upcoming Phase I opening of the 20-acre Oak development.
  • Following an 18-month closure due to fire damage, Walmart debuted a unique Neighborhood Market format in Vine City, at a re-grand opening ceremony in May. Formerly a Walmart Supercenter, the new format store will provide essential access to fresh, affordable foods and pharmacy services to the community. Walmart partnered with Mayor Andre Dickens and other City of Atlanta officials to ensure this community had its needs met, as told by the AJC
  • Utah-based Back Nine Golf is expanding to the Atlanta market, bringing an upscale indoor golf simulation experience to Selig Enterprises’ The Works. Atlanta Business Chronicle covered the announcement of this tenant, which is geared towards business professionals who want a convenient, quick option to get in some swings between meetings.
  • Engel & Völkers Atlanta's Kristen Skebe breaks down the hidden costs of buying a home and what to look for in a recent story with CBS News.

  • Joe Rozza, chief sustainability officer with Ryan Companies, expands on key tactics for future-proofing commercial real estate development in the summer edition of NAIOP’s Development Magazine.
  • Our clients are always on trend. It's no surprise Atlanta Business Chronicle included three Wilbert clients — The Interlock, Cooper Carry and The Works — in a story about the rise of private clubs in the city.
  • Third & Urban's The Pass in Charlotte's NoDa Arts District is attracting locally-owned concepts to the forthcoming mixed-use development. Wilbert helped share the next round of retail leases with the Charlotte Business Journal.
  • One of the largest office leases signed in 2022 has officially moved into RocaPoint Partners' Campus 244. According to the AJC, Wilbert invited key journalists to Transportation Insights' ribbon-cutting.
  • Wood Partners is making waves in the multifamily industry. As one of Wilbert's newest clients, we're proud to help tell its story. One of our first initiatives was to share the news about Wood's new attainable housing line, Altera, with a story in South Florida Agent Magazine.
  • After closing at the onset of the pandemic, Atlanta History Center reopened its Midtown Campus, including the Margaret Mitchell House, on July 10. The apartment and adjacent rooms now feature Telling Stories: Gone With the Wind and American Memory, a new exhibit that contextualizes the author’s story and the massive impact “Gone With the Wind” has had on how the world understands the American Civil War. Wilbert was proud to share this monumental reopening with FOX 5.
  • Birmingham-based program management firm HPM recently completed a $15 million renovation project at Drake State Community and Technical College in Huntsville. The project accommodated the school's growing nursing program and transformed the library into new administration space and the campus bookstore.
